Harrington, DE — Breakaway Racing and Yorwollahan Racing Team’s Speed Away ($5.40, Corey Callahan) continued his Harrington Raceway dominance with a 1:55.4 triumph in the $18,000 Open Trot on Wednesday (July 2).
Swan Flyer led through fractions of :28.2, :57.3 and 1:26.1 before a live outer flow developed with Speed Away fanning three-wide in the stretch and hitting the wire first over Swan Flyer and Lizzy Lauxmont.

It was his fifth win of the season, all at Harrington, for trainer Nick Callahan. In six starts at the meet, he has five wins and one second-place finish. All seven of his wins in 2024 also came at Harrington.
Corey Callahan had a driving triple on the card.
Live racing will now go on a customary summer hiatus before a brief break with a night of racing during the Delaware State Fair on July 17 (post time 5 p.m.) featuring more than $600,000 in total purses, highlighted by the $110,000 finals for the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund 3-year-olds in addition to longstanding races for older horses, including the Governor’s Cup, Charles Murphy Memorial Trot and Legislators’ Cup.
