Sportswriter to remain at Tara Hills in 2014

Port Perry, ON — Tara Hills Stud Farm announced today that Sportswriter will continue to stand at stud at their Port Perry, Ontario, location through the 2014 breeding season.
Sportswriter earned nearly $1.6 million from just 14 lifetime starts in a career cut short by injury. His wins included the North America Cup, Metro Pace, Nassagaweya and Champlain.
Sportswriter’s family continues to be one of the best in racing as his 2-year-old three-quarter-sister, Precocious Beauty, has emerged as one of the leading contenders in her division. The daughter of Art Major is currently 5-2-0 from seven starts and has won her last four including a sweep of the She’s A Great Lady, the Eternal Camnation and Champlain stakes.
