Columbus, OH – Stanley Milton Myers, 94, of Wellington, Ohio, died June 3, 2025 at UH Elyria Medical Center.
On March 31, 1931, Stanley was born in Camden Township to parents William and Mabel (nee Sell) Myers. He grew up in Camden Township before moving to the Elyria area and later made Wellington his home in the 1990s.
A machinist by trade, Stanley worked at Bendix for 30 years. He loved horses and horse racing and enjoyed training Standardbred horses. When not at the tracks or working with horses, Stanley’s other hobbies included fishing, hunting and traveling. For over 20 years Stanley wintered in Florida, where he enjoyed the company of friends and family, including dear friends Joe and Vickie Melnick.
He is survived by his children, Dianne Alison (James Eberlin), of Lakewood, Gary (Diane) Myers, of North Ridgeville, Patricia Emory, of Wellington, Ronald Myers, of Grafton and Kathleen (Mark) Gardner, of Grafton; his grandchildren, Dax, Chad, Rhett, Michelle, Charles, Andrew, Lindsay, Bridgette, Valerie, and Olivia; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, Neil and Alvin; and his dear friends, Leonard Auble and Ayers Ratliff.
Stanley was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Arlene; daughter-in-law, Susan; granddaughter, Tonya; and siblings, Ralph, Richard, Terry and Wilma.
