Stud fee announced for Cattlewash

Port Perry, ON — Tara Hills Stud is pleased to announce that the stud fee has been set for world champion Cattlewash p,2,1:50.3; 3,1:46.4 ($1,288,187). His 2022 stud fee will be C$7,500 or US$6,000.

Cattlewash took his world record 3-year-old mark of 1:46.4 in winning a division of the Bluegrass Stakes at The Red Mile, making him the co-fastest 3-year-old. He shares this outstanding record with his game changing sire, Somebeachsomewhere.

At age 2, he won an $80,950 Bluegrass division in a freshman best of 1:50.3 and was a multiple PASS winner. He finished second in the Matron final and third in the Breeders Crown and Governor’s Cup finals while competing against the best of the year.

In addition to his world record win at 3, Cattlewash won the $179,600 Matron in 1:48.3, the $160,000 Monument Circle in 1:48.3 and captured his Breeders Crown elimination in 1:47.2. In the $500,000 Breeders Crown final he finished third, off only one-quarter of a length. Cattlewash also finished second in the Little Brown Jug, timed in 1:49.2 from the seven hole.

This year at age 4, Cattlewash captured the $250,000 Graduate Series final in a season’s best of 1:47.1. He also captured the $265,400 William Haughton Memorial final in 1:47.3. He finished second by a neck in the $600,000 Breeders Crown final. Cattlewash finished his career with an impressive standing of 13-11-8 in 42 starts.

Cattlewash is a handsome and smart son of super-sire Somebeachsomewhere from Road Bet p,4,1:52f ($380,315) by Bettor’s Delight, making him a half-brother to 2021 She’s A Great Lady final and Breeders Crown final winner Niki Hill p,2,1:50.2s-’21 ($628,314). His dam is a sister to the winners of more than $3.5 million, including $1.4 million winning Mypanmar p,1:48.3s.

Cattlewash is the richest and fastest son of Somebeachsomewhere standing in Canada.
