Lexington, KY – On Sunday (Sept. 7) defending Kentucky champion Super Chapter defeated fellow world champion Mr Mouton in 1:52.1 by a head at The Red Mile in a stretch battle on the Sunday Night Lights card sponsored by Crawford Farms.
Champagne Room handled her competition, leaving world champion Looksgoodinloulou and favored Unreasonable in her rearview mirror. Each horse delivered outstanding performances in the $80,000 fourth legs of Kentucky Championship action for male and female sophomore trotters and pacers.
Super Chapter scores hard-fought victory
In the race for 3-year-old male trotters, Te Quiero Lindy (Andy Miller) flew off the gate to establish a first fraction of :28.1 at 66-1 from post position five. Super Chapter (Dexter Dunn) settled in third from post position two in the field of nine as Mr Mouton (Ake Svanstedt) took control at the half in :57.1 after leaving from the rail.

Te Quiero Lindy sat the pocket until the three-quarter split in 1:25.4, but Dunn gave Super Chapter the green light and the colt began to advance. The drive to the line was on and each horse did not disappoint. Super Chapter was behind by a nose at the final bend and Mr Mouton exerted every effort to not allow him to go by.
Super Chapter ultimately prevailed and paid $2.72 for over an incredibly game rival. Monserrate (Yannick Gingras) came home third at 35-1.
Trained by Marcus Melander, Super Chapter is a son of Chapter Seven-Lifetime Pursuit. The classic-winning colt is 9-7-1-0 in 2025 and 20-12-4-1 overall. He has earned $1.25 million in his career.
Bred by Hanover Shoe Farms, Super Chapter is owned by his breeder, Jeffery Snyder and Arthur Pronti.
Second-choice Go Dog Go (Todd McCarthy) broke stride in the stretch after an outside draw for trainer Carter Pinske. He was eighth.
Champagne Room brings the bubbly
Trainer Noel Daley had this young lady prepared to put forth an incredible mile to down Looksgoodinloulou (Yannick Gingras) and favored Unreasonable (Marcus Miller). Piloted by Andrew McCarthy, Champagne Room left from post position three in the field of six. She resided in third position while Looksgoodinloulou went to the front. That filly set fractions of :28, :55.4 and 1:24 with Unreasonable waiting in second place.
Champagne Room pulled from third and threw down a :25.3 final quarter final to have her picture taken.
Bred by Diamond Creek Farm, Champagne Room is owned by Patricia Stable, L A Express & Sjoblom Inc. and Michael Dolan. The daughter of Papi Rob Hanover-See You At Peelers stopped the clock in 1:50.2.
Champagne Room paid $21.18 to win.
Found sweeps Commonwealth Series legs, Global Sensation flies home
Todd McCarthy guided Found to a sweep of the four Kentucky Commonwealth Series legs in 1:50.1 for trainer Brett Pelling. The half-sister to 2023 Horse of the Year Confederate hit the wire in front of Rose (Gingras) and Aintnothingucando (Dunn) in the division for 3-year-old filly pacers.
Found improved her record to 8-7-0-1 on the season and 13-9-2-1 overall. The daughter of Always B Miki-Geothermal races as a homebred for Diamond Creek Farm and has collected $96,200 in her two seasons of competition.
She paid $2.66 to win as the favorite.
Global Sensation sprouted wings in 1:53.2 to defeat favorite Blank (A. McCarthy) and Taipan As (Tony Hall) in the fourth leg for sophomore male trotters.
Leaving from post position eight in the field of 10 Global Sensation performed his best work late for trainer Melander and owners Holly Lane Stud East, Daniel Plouffe and Jean Plouffe.
Bred by Al Libfeld, Marvin Katz and Sam Goldband, the son of Chapter Seven-Fly Angel Fly has collected three of the four Commonwealth Series legs.
The gelding now sports a resume of 21-5-4-4 with more than $149,000 in his account.
Global Sensation paid $12.56 to win.
Whiskey Wow wins third straight in Golden Rod Series
Owner-trainer Burlin Brower placed Whiskey Wow in the Kentucky Championship Series but after a poor showing entered in the Golden Rod Series, where the son of Crazy Wow-Whimzical Britt has been outstanding.
The 3-year-old gelding has won three consecutive contests in this company and is the Kentucky Proud Series champion for his age, sex and gait.
Whiskey Wow is 13-9-1-2 on the season and only competed once last year without hitting the board.
With David Miller at the controls, the horse defeated Breakthrough (A. McCarthy) and Ake Palema (Scott Zeron) in a new lifetime mark of 1:52.1.
Whiskey Wow paid $3.40 as the favorite.
He was bred by Crawford Farms.
Favored Baret (A. McCarthy) for trainer Pelling won the first division for 3-year-old filly pacers in 1:50.4 as the favorite. JK Fancy Nancy (Dunn) was second and Ronstadt (Zeron) was third.
A daughter of Bettor’s Delight-Sail By, the filly was bred by Brittany Farms and competes for Diamond Creek Racing.
Baret’s record is 19-5-6-1 with more than $103,000 in purse money in her account.
This was her second consecutive win photo.
Baret paid $2.56 to win.
Andrew Harris and Gingras teamed to capture the second division of the Golden Rod with Grande Via. The son of Muscle Hill-Megadolce completed the mile in 1:52.3 with You Dont Own Me (T. McCarthy) and Ketel One Up (D. Miller) behind him.
Grande Via was bred by Steve Stewart and Timot Stable. He is owned by Bill Pollock, Bruce Areman and his conditioner.
Grande Via has collected $76,400 with a record of 22-3-2-0.
He provided $7.34 to win.
Favored Duration won by a neck in 1:51.1 for David Miller and Tony Alagna as the favorite. Bytheliteofthemoon (Dunn) was second and Swift Sarabi (Tim Tetrick) was third in the second division for sophomore filly pacers.
The daughter of Captaintreacherous-Time On My Hands won her first race in 11 attempts in 2025. The final time was a lifetime best.
Bred by Michael Robinson, Robert Mondillo, Steve Cheatham and Steve Stewart, the filly is owned by Robert LeBlanc, Joe Sbrocco, Pryde Stables and JAF Racing.
Duration’s record is 25-2-6-5 with $136,065 in purse money.

World By Storm (Tetrick) took the sole $10,000 fourth leg of the Kentucky Wildcat Series for 3-year-old male trotters in 1:55.2 for trainer Anette Lorentzon. D’Wood (Hall) was second and Masseto (Dunn) was third.
The gelding was bred by Al Libfeld and Marvin Katz. The son of Tactical Landing is out Womans Will and owned by ACL Stuteri AB.
World By Storm paid $3.22 to win as the public’s top choice.
