Sweden’s Barack Face victorious in Copenhagen Cup

The 5-year-old trotter Barack Face, with trainer/driver Adrian Kolgjini, was an easy winner of the Copenhagen Cup at the Charlottenlund Travbane in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Barack Face, who raced for the first time this year, won comfortably in the 1-1/4 mile event in 1:55.1f (mile rate) followed by Hustle Rain with Magnus A. Djuse and Kagan with Robert Bergh.

The purse for the winner was $57,500.

Barack Face is sired by Ready Cash and out of Lisa America, she by Varenne. Last year Barack Face won the European Trotting Derby and The Grand Prix de l’UET; he finished second in the Swedish Trotting Derby to Joviality.

On the same card top Danish top Extreme (sired by Chocolatier), who has been away from racing for two years due to a leg injury, won the mile event, Charlottenlund Open, in 1:53.2f easily for trainer/driver Flemming Jensen.
