Swedish trotting sensation Calgary Games ready for Paris

The 5-year-old Swedish trotter Calgary Games, trained by Timo Nurmos with Björn Goop in the bike, returned to action Wednesday night (Dec. 14) at Solvalla with a very easy win. Calgary Games (Readly Express) won a race over 1 5/16 miles timed in 1.58.1f (mile rate) and is still undefeated in 10 starts lifetime.

Calgary Games will now be headed to Paris, France and the main target is the Prix d’Amerique.

However, Calgary Games has to qualify for the race and will have to win either Prix Tenor de Baune on Dec. 24 or be placed in the first three finishers in either Prix de Bourgogne on New Year’s day or Prix de Belgique on Jan. 15.

Calgary Games has been the heavy favorite in the early wagering for the Prix d’Amerique, as he is listed at odds of 3-2.
