Harrington Raceway’s 78th season of live harness racing will commence Monday (April 8) with a 15-race program starting at 4:30 p.m.

The Paralympic Trot at Aby Racetrack on May 4 in Gothenburg is the first big open trot race in Sweden in 2024. The race carries a purse for the winner of $140,000 and the contenders will be found in four elimination races plus wild cards.

Austin Siegelman continues to dominate at Freehold Raceway. On Saturday (April 6), he earned a driving triple for the fourth consecutive card at Freehold, including back-to-back wins with Shrimp And Grits and Albert A’ Scootin and a 20-1 upset with Vasari N.

A pair of $20,000 California Sire Stakes for 3-year-old pacers are the main attractions Sunday evening (April 7) at Cal Expo, with Another Tuff Woman and Celebrity Status getting top billing.

With the wind playing havoc again on the Friday night (April 5) card at the Meadowlands, the three Meadowlands Amateur Driving Club events found the lead — or close to it — the place to be. The first race on the card saw Victoria Stratton drive her first-ever winner, sending 15-year-old Marty Monkhouser A to command early before setting sensible fractions and pulling away in the stretch to win by 11 lengths in 1:53.1.
