Twin B Joe Fresh repeats in Betsy Ross
Twin B Joe Fresh, the 2024 Dan Patch Horse of the Year, made her seasonal debut a winning one Sunday (May 25), capturing the $100,000 Grade 3 Betsy Ross Invitational for older female pacers by 3-1/4 lengths over My Girl EJ in 1:49.3 at Harrah’s Philadelphia. Valar Dohaeris finished third.
Aldrich, Boni, Ryder to Hall of Fame; Davis-Wilson and Little to Communicators Hall
The United States Harness Writers Association (USHWA), in conjunction with the Harness Racing Hall Of Fame, is pleased to announce the election of racing executive Tom Aldrich, bloodstock expert Robert Boni, and trainer Chris Ryder to the greatest honor in the industry, membership to the Hall Of Fame. USHWA has also elected racing official and administrator Judy Davis-Wilson and writer/editor Debbie Little to the pinnacles of their professions, membership in the Communicators Hall Of Fame.
Twin B Joe Fresh soars in Lady Liberty
Twin B Joe Fresh made a shambles of the $146,000 Lady Liberty Stakes, for older pacing mares, demolishing her rivals and scampering to a 1:48 blowout victory on the Hambletonian Day program Saturday afternoon (Aug. 3) at the Meadowlands. The 4-year-old Roll With Joe mare from the Captaintreacherous dam Fresh Breeze was a winner for the sixth time in seven starts this year with the powerhouse performance, and she gave co-owner Dexter Dunn his sixth driving win on the card.
