‘Gentleman’ clubs foes in Big M Pace prep
Friday night’s (June 26) feature at the Meadowlands was a high-end conditioned pace for 3-year-old colts and geldings, but it might as well have been written as a Meadowlands Pace Prep, with six of the seven entrants eligible to the track’s signature event, which will have eliminations – if necessary – on Saturday, July 4.
Another C Note among impressive Pocono winners
Another C Note remained unbeaten in five seasonal starts on Saturday (May 9) at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania, posting a 1:52.2 mile. The victory came in one of four $30,000 divisions of the Pennsylvania All-Stars event for sophomore pacing males on a day where peak speed could not be approached by rain, resulting in a sloppy track, along with coolish temperatures.
