$1-Million Meadowlands Trot coming in Summer of 2027
The New Meadowlands Racetrack, in conjunction with the Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association of New Jersey (SBOANJ), is pleased to announce a couple of new stakes races to its 2027 schedule to go along with purse increases to some of the other top events in the sport. The biggest waves in the stakes waters are the ones that will be stirred up by the brand-new $1-million Meadowlands Trot, a 3-year-old open, and $500,000 Meadowlands Oaks Trot, for 3-year-old fillies.
R Dutchess dashes home in Girl Power Mare Trot
R Dutchess, with Tim Tetrick at the reins, scored a mild upset after bursting free from traffic in the homestretch to win the $188,200 Girl Power Mare Trot in 1:50.3 at the Meadowlands on Friday (Sept. 11).
Dunn sweeps sophomore NJ Classic paces
Before teaming Hambletonian champion Apex to victory in the New Jersey Classic for 3-year-old male trotters, Dexter Dunn swept the event’s sophomore pacing divisions, piloting New Jersey Sire Stakes Platinum champions Be Perfect BG and Bookie J to odds-on scores in their respective $150,000 New Jersey Classic finals on Friday (Sept. 11) at the Meadowlands.

Big racing, big anniversary at Big M this weekend
