In addition to all the Roadster classes offered, the 2025 World’s Championship Horse Show held two high profile events just for Standardbreds this week – the USTA Roadster Classic and the Standardbred Roadster 100.

Standardbred Transition Alliance accredits six
The Standardbred Transition Alliance (STA) has concluded its 2025 accreditation and spring grant awards with a total of six non-profit adoption charities meeting all necessary criteria. This year, the spring grant distribution totaled $103,000.
USHDC has platinum interest in Standardbred Horse Show
The United States Harness Driving Club (USHDC) has teamed up with Shenandoah Downs to, once again, form an alliance in supporting the National Standardbred Horse Show, which will take place at The Horse Park of New Jersey near Allentown, Sept. 19-21, 2025.
Shotgun Rider is three-time AERC High Mileage Standardbred
Standardbreds are built to outlast long days and nights racing on the track, but one Standardbred has reigned supreme on the endurance trail once again. (Owyhee) Shotgun Rider has been named the 2024 American Endurance Ride Conference High Mileage Standardbred for the third time with owner and rider Merri Melde. The duo also earned the title for the 2017 and 2021 ride seasons.
Ohio Standardbreds and Friends to Equine Affaire
Ohio Standardbreds and Friends, in conjunction with New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program, will once again exhibit the versatility of the Standardbred at Equine Affaire, participating in demonstrations and clinics at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus, Ohio, April 11-13.

2024 season of Standardbred Incentive Program in the books
The third season of the Standardbred Incentive Program (SIP) closed on Nov. 30, 2024, with submissions permitted through Dec. 31, 2024, which allowed extra time for participants to get their placings and trail miles entered.
Standardbred schedule at Horse World Expo
The Horse World Expo is underway at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg and runs through Sunday (March 2). The USTA sponsored Superior Standardbreds booth is in the Expo Hall, #S13, in Stallion Avenue, adjacent to Breed Row.
