Woodbine Mohawk Park is set to host eliminations this weekend for the Grade 1 Metro Pace and Grade 1 Elegantimage. The Metro Pace, for 2-year-old pacers, will have a pair of six-horse eliminations on Saturday night (Sept. 19) to determine the field for the C$1 million final. The Elegantimage, for 3-year-old filly trotters, has two nine-horse eliminations on Friday (Sept. 18) to decide the spots in the C$400,000 final.

Roy Sweeps Whenuwishuponastar, Dream Maker Finals
Louis-Philippe Roy nabbed the pair of Grade 3 events for pacing freshman at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Friday night (Aug. 21), winning the $120,000 Dream Maker Final with undefeated colt Shalom Hanover and the $125,000 Whenuwishuponastar Final with filly Treacherous Nova.

Shalom Hanover, a 2-year-old pacing colt by Papi Rob Hanover – Sammy’s Magic Girl, captured his division of a Pennsylvania Sire Stakes event for his grouping on Monday (Aug. 3) afternoon at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania, winning easily in 1:49.2 – a time which makes him the fastest 2-year-old of 2026 and the fastest 2-year-old of all-time at Pocono, and a clocking just a fifth shy of the all-time record for any freshman on a 5/8-mile track (Frantic Hanover’s 1:49.1 in last year’s Sire Stakes Championship at Philly).
