Washington, PA — Tequila Talkin moved relentlessly without cover and got up in the shadow of the wire to capture Thursday’s (Dec. 2) feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $12,100 conditioned trot.

Tequila Talkin was fourth up the backside when Aaron Merriman sent him after the leader, Joey. Even when Joey inched away in mid-stretch, Tequila Talkin persevered and edged Joey by a head in 1:55. Mystical Peter was a ground-saving third.

Richard Perfido trains Tequila Talkin, a 6-year-old Cantab Hall-Margarita Nights gelding who lifted his lifetime bankroll to $211,030, for Win Rhythm Stables.

Dave Palone piloted four winners on the 12-race card, giving him nine over the last two days.
