Greenville, OH — The Great Darke County Fair is getting ready for the four day/five race card meet this month.

Racing will be conducted as follows:

Friday (Aug. 16)-post time 6:30 p.m.
Saturday (Aug. 17)–post time 11:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Wednesday (Aug. 21)-post time 7:30 p.m.
Thursday (Aug. 22)–post time 5:30 p.m.

On Aug. 22, the race card will feature the 2- and 3-year-old Parshall Futurity; the Annie Oakley Shoot Out featuring the Spring Haven Farm Ladies Driving Series; the Arnie Almahurst Open Trot and the Gene Riegle Memorial Open Pace.

In addition, Hall of Fame announcer Roger Huston will be doing a book signing to promote The Voice: The Unparalleled Life Of Roger Huston on Aug 22 in the barn area before the races and again in the grandstand during the races. Roger will also be doing trackside interviews throughout the evening.

Purses for the Arnie Almahurst Open Trot and the Gene Riegle Memorial Open Pace are currently being finalized and will be announced soon.
