The Michigan Mighty airs at 7 p.m. Thursday

Northville, MI — The latest episode of ‘The Michigan Mighty’ airs Thursday night (April 27) on Harness Racing Symposium 101 on Facebook and will be cross-posted on the Northville Downs Facebook page at 7 p.m. (EDT).

‘The Michigan Mighty’ is the newest show that covers all-things happening in harness racing in the state of Michigan with an emphasis on Northville Downs. Hosted by track announcer Ken Terpenning, weekly interviews with horsemen and women and key track personnel, as well as racing recaps from the previous week are usually on the agenda.

Debuting two weeks ago on April 13, with an interview with owner/trainer/breeder Techia Lohmann, who trains 2022 Michigan Older Pacer of the Year Lying In Cash, the show was well-received. Last week’s episode featured interviews with Northville’s race starter Jim ‘Ace’ Szabo and owner/trainer/driver Tim Roach.

Thursday night’s episode will feature an interview with Northville’s outrider Nicole Stroup and her trusty charge Poncho. Stroup has been an outrider in Michigan at Northville Downs, Jackson Raceway, Saginaw, Sports Creek and Hazel Park.

‘The Michigan Mighty’ airs weekly on Thursdays at 7 p.m. (EDT) on Harness Racing Symposium 101 on Facebook and the Northville Downs Facebook page.

Racing at Northville Downs continues this Friday (April 28) and Saturday (April 29) with a first race post time of 7 p.m. Friday features the ever-popular ‘dollar night’ at The Ville with one dollar popcorn, live race programs, pop and win bets, as well as two dollar hot dogs, beer and hamburger specials being offered to fans in attendance on track.

Racing will be contested every Friday and Saturday night through and including Sept. 30. First race post time will be 7 p.m. each race night throughout the meet.
