Three new winners highlight Buckeye Stallion Series action at MGM Northfield Park

Grove City, OH — Three divisions of the Buckeye Stallion Series for 3-year-old male trotters on Sunday (July 25) at MGM Northfield Park yielded three first-time Stallion Series winners. Each of the divisions carried a purse of $17,500.

The fastest winner was Naughty Triumphant. The Triumphant Caviar gelding came home in 1:56 for Ryan Stahl and trainer Steve Carter. The gelding is owned by Tammy Carter, Jacob Beard, Adam Friedland, and Brian Carsey.

The husband-wife combination of Cameron and Jessica McCown won their division with the Uncle Peter gelding My Pal Sparky in 1:57. Jessica McCown owns the 3-year-old.

The final division went to Malibu Kid. Keith Kash Jr. drove the son of Wishing Stone for Dalton Walls, tripping the wire in 1:58.2. The gelding is owned by Walls, Bruce Soulsby, and Alan Weisenberg.

Buckeye Stallion Series action continues at MGM Northfield Park Wednesday (July 28) with the third leg of the 3-year-old colt pace. First race post time is 6 p.m.
