Tiffin, OH — It was Tiffin’s turn to showcase the Ohio Fair Racing Conference stakes on Monday (July 24) at their 175th Senecca County Fair.

A Oliveinmymartini and Skip De Mull coasted to a new lifetime mark of 2:01.4h in the first race in only the 2-year-old filly’s second start. The Mike Sweeney trained daughter of Three Olives served up the winner’s share of the $5,032 OFRC purse to her owner Patrick Sweeney.

The 2-year-old lass by Believeinbruiser, Believe In Waco (Art McIlmurray), won the $5,107 OFRC fifth race for owner Gerald Mijal in 2:01.4h as well. She is trained by Steve Novak and now has made a tad under $25,000 by winning three of her five lifetime starts.

They were noses apart in 2:04h in the $4,837 OFRC stake for 3-year-old filly trotters to the delight of the large crowd in attendance. After it had quieted down the photo showed it was Beautiful over Windsun Line (Tom Moore Jr.) as the daughter of And Away We Go captured her first victory in 18 lifetime starts with Art McIlmurray behind the filly. Trainer Ron Steck, along with her owners, Bruce and Trish Soulsby and Chris Beaver can now say “Beautiful, just beautiful.”

The Ohio Ladies Pace Series is getting serious as Thatillbsweet with Ulrika Fox clipped off a mile in 1:59.3h in the late afternoon sun. Fox dispelled any challenges from her rivals as she opened up and won by six lengths with a last quarter in :28.1.

The Fever was rising for the $9,283 OFRC 10th race as eight 3-year-old colts lined up behind the gate. Trailing in the second tier from the eight hole, Mike Headworth made his move early with trainer and co-owner Bill Webb and D&K Stables LLC’s Dancin Fever. The gelded son of Indian Fever was coming fresh off a track-record performance at Oak Harbor and impressed everyone again with a mile in 1:58h, a last panel in :28 as he won by seven lengths.

More action Tuesday at 1 p.m.
