Chester, PA–Royal Wire Products’ Tito Rocks ($26.60) asserted himself early and out-sprinted Sugartown to the winning post to seal a 12-1 upset — and his third consecutive win — in Sunday’s (Nov. 7) $16,200 top-level pacing feature at Harrah’s Philadelphia.

David Miller sent the 4-year-old Sweet Lou gelding to the fore from post seven, parking out Black Chevron N through a :27.1 quarter before subsequently dismissing a three-wide bid from 4-5 favorite Southwind Ozzi up the backstretch. Tito Rocks used :54.3 back-half speed to evade pocket rival Sugartown by a length; the ground-saving Imstaynalive narrowly held third over the traffic-troubled J M Mandamin.

Robert Cleary trains Tito Rocks, now a 14-time winner with $245,047 in career earnings.

Tim Tetrick led all drivers with four wins on the 14-race card.
