Top 2010 performers at Western Fair feted

London, ON — A sold out crowd gathered Saturday night (Feb. 26) at Western Fair Raceway to honor the top performers of the 2010 racing season.

In addition to the annual raceway awards, the Walltyme Award was presented to longtime horseman Peter Davis. The award, presented annually by Dave Wall, is given for outstanding service and contribution to the industry.

The criteria for the horses recognized is that they must have made at least six starts at the London, Ontario, half-mile track during the 2010 season. It is then based on purse earnings. In the claiming horse category the winners are determined by wins as are the trainer and driver awards.

Older pacer – Button Up
Older pacing mare – Lady Latte
Older trotter – Long Ago
Older trotting mare – Girlsruleboyslose
3-year-old pacing colt – Source Of Power
3-year-old pacing filly – J M Lasstax
3-year-old trotting colt – J J Blue
3-year-old trotting filly – Lightnin Laura Mae
Claimer (tie) – Ja El Cash Advance, Starbux Eden

Trainer – Dan Creighton
