Tuesday racing held at Bowling Green, Ohio

Bowling Green, OH — The Wood County Fair at Bowling Green, Ohio, held its lone session of harness racing on Tuesday night (July 31). Eight 2-year-old and 3-year-old colt and filly stakes, plus two overnight races, were contested on a beautiful July evening.

Mark Headworth steered Rose Run Nemo (Trainforthefuture-Pickashu) to a 2:07 winning mile in the 3-year-old colt trot. Larry, Matt and David Waltz pay the bills on the gelding with Matt doing the training.

Our Little Emmy (Stand Forever-Expensive Cammie) took the 2-year-old filly pace in 2:05.1. Tom Marts, Jr. trains and drives the filly and also co-owns her with Angela Ott.

The 2-year-old filly trot went to Countonme (Full Count-Indian Hill Ruby) in 2:16.1. John Konesky III and Patrick Konesky own Countonme with John performing the training and driving duties.

Greg Bateson piloted Friskie Flicker (Feelin Friskie-Bydawnearlylite) to victory in the 3-year-old filly pace. John Schuberg trains the filly for Floral City Stable. Friskie Flicker toured the Bowling Green oval in 2:01.2.

Emil Konesky’s Trottin On Over (Neely Dunn-Halle Coy) captured the 2-year-old colt trot in 2:08.3. Mark Headworth is the trainer-driver of Trottin On Over.

Where U At (Feelin Friskie-Locator) turned in the fastest mile of the evening by coming home first in the 3-year-old colt pace in 2:00.3. Ty Bates trains the colt for Suzanne Bates and Robyn McGhee. Dan Venier picked up the winning catch-drive on Where U At.

Jailhouse Robbin (Jailhouse Jesse-I Like Lofty) found the winner’s circle in the 3-year-old filly trot after a mile in 2:07. Ryan Stahl drove the filly for owner Joe Ewald and trainer Nichole Gagnon.

CC Big Boy Sam (Nobleland Sam-CC Biggirl Bretta) won the 2-year-old colt pace in 2:06.1. Scott Christner is the colt’s trainer-driver with Paul Perdue, Brady Galliers and Jeff Batt picking up the expenses.

The next stop in the Northwestern Ohio Colt Racing Association will be at the Henry County Fair at Napoleon. Racing will take place at Napoleon on Tuesday (August 14) and Wednesday (August 15) with a 6:30 p.m. post time each evening.
