Nichols, NY – Tioga Downs played host to two divisions of the New York Sire Stakes (NYSS) for 2-year-old filly pacers on Friday (July 15).

Twin B Joe Fresh (Jason Bartlett) cruised to the win in the $54,500 first division.

Hunting Season (Tyler Buter) took the lead just before hitting the quarter first in :27. Twin B Joe Fresh ($2.70) took control with a lap to go. She was first to the half in :56.2. Zira (Cory Braden) came first-up to challenge down the backstretch. Twin B Joe Fresh shook her off and led to three-quarters in 1:24.1.

As they made the turn for home, Twin B Joe Fresh had plenty in the tank and coasted to an easy win in 1:52.3. Hunting Season was second best. Kissin Joe finished third.

Twin B Joe Fresh is a filly by Roll With Joe-Fresh Breeze. She is owned by Dexter Dunn, Peter Trebotica, Barry Spak, and trainer Chris Ryder. She is now three for three in 2022.

In the $55,500 second division, Vivians Dream (Wally Hennessey) holds firm to win the $55,500 second division.

Earthwindfire (Jack Pelling) led to the first quarter in :27. The lead was short lived as Vivians Dream ($2.40) bolted to the front as they headed to the stands for the first time. She was first to the half in :56.2. Vivians Dream continued to control things as she led to three-quarters in 1:24.4.

As they made the turn for home, Earthwindfire popped the pocket and came all out after the leader. Vivians Dream dug in as second-place finisher Earthwindfire gave one last lunge. Vivians Dream won in a lifetime best of 1:52.1. Ideal Star (Mike Merton) finished third.

Vivians Dream is a filly by American Ideal-Sports Chic. She is owned by Forrest Bartlett and trained by Cory Mumford. Vivians Dream is now three-for-three in her young career.

Tioga Downs returns to live racing on Saturday (July 16) with an 11-race card starting at 6:15 p.m.
