Columbus, OH – The U.S. Trotting Association’s Standardbred Incentive Program is excited to introduce SIP-tember – a month dedicated to SIP participants and their accomplishments off the track.

This SIP-tember, every show placing logged will earn an entry into our SIPtacular drawing. The more placings entered, the more chances to win earned. There will be a separate drawing for those who log trail miles. Each trail ride submitted that is three or more miles will equal an entry into that drawing.
Show placings can be entered for any show, and trail miles for any ride, conducted during the current SIP season (starting Dec. 1, 2024). Entries into the SIPtacular drawing are earned through submissions made by 11:59 p.m. on Sept. 30, 2025. Winners will be drawn and announced on Friday, Oct. 3.
SIP-tember will also feature participants and their horses with “SIPSaturdays” on the USTA’s social media platforms. The featured riders will include a youth participant, a new SIP participant that has joined in 2025, a returning SIP veteran, and a member of our Trail Mavericks – who is exclusively riding their Standardbred on trails.
The Standardbred Incentive Program is a free program for USTA members to submit their placings at shows to earn points toward year-end awards. There is also a program to log trail miles ridden to get lifetime mileage awards. Participation medals are presented to everyone who submits at least one show placing or one trail mile during the show season.
Not a USTA member? Youth under the age of 18 can sign up for free; adults can become a USTA member to receive all USTA perks and member benefits or they can purchase a SIP season pass.
