Columbus, OH – The U.S. Trotting Association Broadcast & Promotion Committee announced Thursday (March 5) that it is recommending to the Board of Directors funding for 36 organizations to assist in their efforts to promote harness racing.
“I’m proud of the committee, they did good work in considering all of the funding requests submitted,” said Pennacchio. “In the end, the committee voted unanimously to approve these recommendations.”
The USTA Board of Directors will consider the committee’s recommendations at their annual meeting being held Friday (March 6) through Sunday (March 8) in Columbus, OH.
The committee consisting of USTA Directors – chairperson Joe Pennacchio, Cathy Dessert, Joe Frasure, Steve Oldford, Matt Sparacino, Dein Spriggs, and Ashley Tetrick made their recommendations based upon a budget of $200,000.
If approved by the Board of Directors, each of the organizations will be informed about the amount of funding to be provided to them.
