Columbus, OH – The United States Trotting Association today (Oct. 28) announced the postponement of its planned Brand-A-Thon promotion at Shenandoah Downs in Woodstock, Va., originally scheduled for Friday, Oct. 31, and Saturday, Nov. 1, due to limited member participation.
The Brand-A-Thon was designed as a convenient and cost-effective opportunity for USTA members to take advantage of the Association’s freezebranding services at a centralized location. Despite outreach efforts and coordination with Shenandoah Downs, overall interest did not meet expectations.
“While we are disappointed that more members did not take advantage of this opportunity, we appreciate the feedback we’ve received and will use it to guide future initiatives,” said USTA Chief Operating Officer TC Lane. “The USTA remains committed to offering programs and services that provide value, efficiency, and support to our membership.”
Branding continues to serve an important role in horse identification, integrity, and safety throughout the Standardbred industry. Members who wish to schedule branding services can continue to do so through the USTA’s standard procedures by contacting USTA Member Services.
The USTA extends its appreciation to Shenandoah Downs and its staff for their cooperation and willingness to host the planned event.
