USTA relaunches website with new home page

from the USTA Communications Department

Columbus, OH — On Wednesday (June 11), harness racing fans will see a new look on the United States Trotting Association’s website, www.ustrotting.com.

The home page has been redesigned with changes that allow for additional news about USTA member racetracks, streamline the process for utilizing online services and watching USTA videos, and expand the presence of Hoof Beats magazine.

The newsroom’s top three stories will change from rotating images to a static photo accompanying only the featured story. The next two stories will continue to be listed in the top three with a headline, brief intro and link to the full story without a photo.

In addition, the improved layout contains a new sub-category called “Track News” that increases the amount of information about member tracks on the home page, a new feature, “Today’s Racing,” that is a listing of all tracks racing each day with first post times, and adds three categories of Top Performers by earnings for horses, drivers and trainers.

With the ever-growing demand for online entries and other member services via the web, the Online Services section of the home page has been simplified to include information and direct links to member accounts, Pathway and trainer entries.

Also on the new site, Hoof Beats magazine readers will see a newly designed format that adds the current monthly cover and links to feature stories to the blogs from the old design.

Finally, visitors to www.ustrotting.com will be able to find and play the USTA’s most recent videos right from the home page.
