Columbus, OH – The USTA is seeking a skilled Newsroom Editor to join the communications team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for an experienced editor or journalist with a passion for accuracy, clarity, and storytelling in equine and harness racing industries.
The position requires proofing, editing and publishing/posting of press releases, race results, features, and industry news in the newsroom on the USTA website, ustrotting.com.
Applicants should have experience as an editor, copy editor, or journalist with exceptional knowledge of grammar, spelling, AP Style and WordPress software as well as familiarity with horse racing and the harness racing industry.
The schedule is primarily during evening hours (seven days) and weekend mornings and can be done remotely.
