Columbus, OH — The USTA is proud to announce and welcome its newest ID technician, Doris ‘Dee’ Lineweaver, for Virginia.

Lineweaver is no stranger to harness racing. She is the eldest daughter of the late Winston W. Lineweaver and Eileen Lineweaver of Maurertown, Va. She is a third-generation horsewoman who owned her first horse at 13 when she started racing on the Pennsylvania Fair Circuit with her family. She has trained horses since 1995 and holds an associate judge’s license as well as licenses for chart, clerk and program director.
Lineweaver started her race office career at Colonial Downs under Craig Andow and most recently worked at Shenandoah Downs as the Racing Secretary and head of the Racing and Security departments.
With strong community ties and dedication to promoting harness racing in Virginia, she is often referred to as the “Face of Shenandoah.”
Lineweaver has overseen harness racing at the Shenandoah County Fair, her home fairgrounds, since the passing of Terry Lee Kibler in 2018.
In her spare time, she gives back to her community, receiving awards for 4-H Leader of the Year in 2023 and 4-H Family of the Year in 2024.
“Dee was the perfect choice for this opportunity. Her deep-rooted commitment to harness racing, especially throughout the mid-Atlantic region, made this decision a no-brainer. We are beyond excited to have her on the team. The USTA members in that territory will benefit by having a dedicated technician, so no more extended wait times,” said TC Lane, USTA Chief Operating Officer.
Lineweaver may be reached by phone at 540.333.4186 or by email at dzstangva@yahoo.com.
