Vernon, NY — Beginning this Saturday, April 7, when Vernon Downs’ doors swing open for live racing, patrons will be greeted with a T-shirt giveaway to the first 1,000 customers and the “Own A Piece of the Pacer” promotion will kick off.

Also, patrons will see a new wagering format revealed at Vernon Downs that will also go into effect on opening day at Tioga Downs on May 11.

The additions to the wagering format will include dime superfectas, an additional pick three for a total of three pick three’s throughout the evening, along with an early, mid, and late daily double option, and a pick six with carryovers.

“These changes to the wagering format are part of what we got out of our customer surveys at the end of last season. People wanted to have more wagering options, so we are happy to present this new format that spices things up,” said Jason Settlemoir, VP of Racing and Simulcast for both Vernon Downs and Tioga Downs.
