London, ON — Dave Wall, one of the most popular and respected horsemen in Ontario, underwent an operation on Sunday (April 10) at Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario, after fracturing an ankle in an accident at Western Fair Raceway in Friday night’s first race.
Wall was the most severely injured of the four drivers involved in the spill which saw Wall’s charge Strident Hanover stumble on the last turn causing a chain reaction that collected My Buddy Gary (Robert Sparling, Jr.), Devilwithabackpack (Trevor Henry) and The Gormanizor (Greg Campbell).
Sparling suffered a severely sprained ankle as well as several nasty facial lacerations; Henry came away with a broken finger; while Campbell has a broken bone in his foot.
