Jägersro, Sweden — At Friday’s (Sept. 6) Swedish Derby Auction at Jägersro, trainer Lucas Wallin bought Go Get’em, a colt sired by Walner out of the Ready Cash mare Electra Bourbon, for $200,000.
However, this was not the top price of the auction. That was $230,000, which an anonymous buyer paid for another colt, Galieo – sired by Ready Cash out of the Un Amour d’Haufor mare Kali Smart.
In all, 98 of the 118 yearlings offered found new owners with an average sale price of $22,600.
The large French auction in Deauville ended on Friday. Over three days, 303 yearlings were sold, and the average price was $38,150, down 2.85% from last year.
The most expensive yearling here was the filly Osez Josephine, sired by Ready Cash and out of the Love You mare Royal Crown, whom Björn Goop bought for Europe’s largest owner of trotters, German Karin Walter-Mommert, for $330,000.
