Edgerton, OH – The Ohio pacing stallion Well Said (Western Hanover-Must See) has been added to the list of stallions available in the silent auction sponsored by the Defiance County (Ohio) Area Horsemen’s Association. Well Said provides his services at Sugar Valley Farms LLC of Delaware, Ohio.
Well Said joins three other Ohio pacing stallions, one Indiana trotting stallion, and one Indiana pacing stallion in the auction. The three other Ohio pacing stallions are Carbine (Somebeachsomewhere-Shot Togo Bluechip), Heart Of Chewbacca (Bring On The Beach-JT’s Chewbacca), and Mister Daytona N (American Ideal-Chara). Carbine is collected at Midland Acres of Bloomingburg, Ohio, Heart Of Chewbacca takes up residence at Hagemeyer Farms of Clarksville, Ohio, and Mister Daytona N stands at Clark Acres Equine of Millersburg, Ohio.
The Indiana trotting stallion is Just For Trix (Trixton-Falling For Flori), and the Indiana pacing stallion is Best In Show (Bettor’s Delight-Put On A Show). Just For Trix resides at Schwartz Boarding Farm of Berne, Ind., while Best In Show provides his services at Premier Acres of Middlebury, Ind.
Bids will be accepted on all stallions except Best In Show until 5 p.m. on Wednesday (April 1). At that time, the person with the second-highest bid will have a chance to raise his or her bid. The bidding will continue between the two highest bidders until one drops out. The winning bidder on each stallion must pay the Defiance County Area Horsemen’s Association 10% of the winning bid or $100, whichever is greater, before the mare is bred. That amount is non-refundable. The winning bidder must pay the Association the balance of the winning bid when the mare foals in 2027.
The Association has five breedings to Best In Show to sell for $1,000 each with $100 due before the mare is bred, and $900 due in 2027 when the mare foals. The first four people to call 419-630-5952 will receive a breeding. The fifth breeding will be auctioned off just like the breedings to the other stallions.
All bids may be phoned to Bill Peters at 419-630-5952 or e-mailed to trudypeters@metalink.net.
