Columbus, OH — Eldorado Scioto Downs is proud to announce a handicapping contest to be held on the evening of Saturday (April 1) in The Penthouse.

The winner of the free contest will earn an entry into the $50,000 BetAmerica World Harness Handicapping Championship to be held at The Meadowlands Racetrack in East Rutherford, N.J., on April 29. The entry into the championship final is valued at $800 and Eldorado Scioto Downs will be kicking in an additional $500 for travel expenses to The Meadowlands.

“We are happy to give our loyal players a free chance to earn their way into the $50,000 BetAmerica World Harness Handicapping Championship at The Meadowlands Racetrack,” Eldorado Scioto Downs Mutuel Director Steve Carpenito stated. “It is my belief that some of the best harness racing handicappers reside right here in Central Ohio and I am looking for the winner of our contest to travel to The Meadowlands and represent us well.”

The qualifying event will involve choosing one horse in each of 10 designated contest races. A bankroll will be accumulated by a mythical $2 win and place on each of those horses. The player with the largest bankroll at the end of the 10 contest races will get the prize. The 10 contest races will be determined on Thursday (March 30), two days prior to the April 1 contest.
