Dover, DE – Wolfpack One won the $51,200 Bally’s Dover Late Closer Final (DSBF eligibles) for 3-Year-Old Trotting Fillies at Bally’s Dover on Monday (March 30) night.

Wolfpack One left aggressively from post five with Troy Beyer in the bike trotting into the first turn. Emery’s Angel, who left from post eight was parked out initially at the opening quarter in :27.3, then cleared on the lead in front of the stands.
Wolfpack One accepted the pocket trip. Emery’s Angel continued to carve out the race fractions and reached the half in :57.1 (:29.3).
Emery’s Angel and driver Art Stafford Jr. backed off the three quarters to 1:27.4 a :30.3 quarter.
Midway up the backstretch, Crazy Amy trotted first over. Angelic Valentine followed second over on the outside. Wolfpack One remained in the pocket
Turning for home, Emory’s Angel mantained a comfortable lead. Wolfpack One, the 1-2 betting favorite, vacated the pocket and was charged hard. Belle’ Natania found her best stride late closing along the pylons.
Wolfpack One surged to win by two and a quarter lengths. She trotted the mile in 1:58.3, a lifetime mark and paid $3.00 for the win.
Emery’s Angel fought hard but finished second. Belle’ Natania closed along the pylons to finish third.
Wolfpack One ( E.L Platinum) is owned by Stuart Chambers Racing LLC, Bcjm Inc and Divine Horse Racing, all the owners are from North Carolina. They are also the breeders. Jason Skinner trained and Troy Beyer drove.
The second race on tomorrow’s (March 31) card is the Bally’s Dover Late Closer Final worth $51,100 for 3-Year-Old Colt and Gelding Trotters. There is also the $25,000 Open Handicap Trot scheduled for race twelve of fifteen races carded on the night.
Bally’s Dover races Monday thru Thursday and this is the final week of racing for the season. Post time is 4:30 p.m.
