Columbus, OH — Harnessracing.com is reporting that world champion trotting mare Mission Brief has been retired from racing and purchased by a group that includes three of her breeders.

The new owners of Mission Brief are Steve Stewart, Black Creek Stable and Andrea Lea Racing, which bred the mare, plus Maumee River Stable, Four Corners Farm, Hickory Hollow Stables and Dublin Valley Farm. Stewart said the group paid $650,000 for Mission Brief.
