World record smashed at Vincennes

Paris, France — The 3-year-old colt Ideo de Tillard, with Clement Duvaldestin in the bike and trained by his father, Thierry Duvaldestin, smashed the world record for 3-year-old colts at the 1-5/16th mile distance, winning at Vincennes in 1:53.4 (mile rate).

The previous record was held by the Swedish trotter Zola Boko, who back in 2009 won at Vincennes in 1:55.1 (mile rate); in 2019 that record was equaled by Go On Boy.

Ideo de Tillard, who was a 27,000 Euro yearling, is sired by Severino, who in his day was a top trotter in France. Ideo de Tillard is by far the fastest offspring from Severino, who stands at stud for just 2,000 Euro, live foal.
