$10k Pick-5 guarantee Sunday at Oak Grove

Oak Grove, KY — Fueled by a $3,789 carryover, Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel will offer a $10,000 guaranteed Late Pick-5 pool on Sunday (May 28), in conjunction with the United States Trotting Association’s Strategic Wagering Program.

The Late Pick-5 consists of races 6-10 on the Sunday card, and features a 50-cent base wager and a low 15 percent takeout. Last Monday (May 22), a carryover of $2,878 in the Early Pick-5 attracted over $9,800 in new money and produced a payout of $1,876.85 on a 50-cent wager.

Additionally, Sunday’s card features a $1,106 carryover in the 50-cent Super Hi-5, offered daily in the fifth race.

On Memorial Day (Monday, May 29), the Kentucky Standardbred Development Fund series for 4-year-olds culminate with a quartet of $150,000 finals. Among those scheduled to compete for over $700,000 in total purses on the card are drivers Yannick Gingras, Andy McCarthy, Todd McCarthy and Dave Palone, and trainers Tony Alagna, Per Engblom, Erv Miller, Julie Miller and Nancy Takter.

Daily first post is 3 p.m. CDT (4 p.m. EDT). Oak Grove offers racing on Sunday and Monday this week (May 28-29) and next (June 4-5) before expanding to a three-day schedule the week of June 11-13. The cards previously scheduled for Tuesdays, May 30 and June 6, have been moved to the end of the meet and will be conducted on July 9 and 10.
