Columbus, OH — Fourteen proposed rule and bylaw changes have been submitted to the United States Trotting Association for consideration during the 2027 district meeting and annual meeting cycle.
The proposals will first be presented and discussed at each of the USTA’s 12 district meetings before being considered by the full Board of Directors at the 2027 annual meeting in Columbus, Ohio, in March.

USTA members are encouraged to review the proposals and provide input throughout the process. Current members may vote electronically on each proposal through their USTA member account beginning Oct. 1, 2026, through Feb. 1, 2027. Members who do not have an online account may request a paper ballot by contacting USTA Corporate Secretary Michele Kopiec at michele.kopiec@ustrotting.com.
Member voting results will be made public and provided to the full Board of Directors for consideration at the annual meeting, where the proposals may be adopted, amended or rejected.
Members are also encouraged to attend their local district meeting to participate in the discussion of the proposals. Those unable to attend may contact their district directors in advance of the meeting to share comments or concerns.

This year’s proposals were submitted by USTA members, racing officials and directors representing Delaware, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Utah and Wisconsin.
