$15,871.54 Jackpot hit at Running Aces

Columbus, MN – One sharp handicapper was able to solve the 20-cent Pick-5 Jackpot wager at Running Aces on Thursday (June 1) to take down the entire pool and Jackpot.

The sequence started in race six which saw Disaronno Hill (Luke Plano) pull off an 18-1 upset in the $18,500 Mares Open Handicap pace. The next leg was won by even-money favorite I’m A Skoldier (Mooney Svendsen, $4.20) in the $18,250 Sophomore boys pace and the next two races in the sequence saw winners with off-time odds of 4-1, and 9-1.

In the final leg of the wager (Race 10) there were three horses alive to one 20-cent ticket each, including Outlawburntpopcorn (Jessie Pacheco, $8.20) who prevailed by a neck in the $6,600 Mares claiming pace at 3-1 to trigger the jackpot payout.

The $15k plus return is the biggest payout so far this season at Running Aces, through the first nine nights of action.

Live Racing is offered ever Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at Running Aces with first post at 7 p.m.
