Wilkes-Barre, PA — The 2023 harness racing season begins on Saturday afternoon (Feb. 17) at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Pennsylvania.

Post time for Saturday is 1 p.m. (EST) and 14 races are on the card which begins the 58th season of live racing at the track.

Racing begins in February with cards each Saturday and Sunday afternoon at Pocono. All afternoon post times are at 1 p.m.

In March, Monday afternoons are added to the schedule. April brings Tuesday afternoon racing, pushing the Pocono schedule to four cards per week. In addition, Sundays in April and from that point forward will feature 6 p.m. post times.

The Pocono Downs racing schedule continues in that manner until September when Sunday nights are replaced by Wednesday afternoons.

Closing day for the 2023 season is scheduled for Tuesday (Oct. 31).

A total of 136 race cards are scheduled for the 2023 Pocono meet.
