Columbus, OH – Incumbent U.S. Trotting Association Director Dr. Andy Roberts has defeated challenger Steve Stewart by a count of 133-97 in the District 6B election. Dr. Roberts will commence his new term at the seating of the Board of Directors in Columbus, OH on Saturday, March 9.
There were 230 ballots cast, not including 10 that were deemed invalid due to illegibility, absence of signature, etc. These votes would not have impacted the outcome of the election.
The accounting firm Plante Moran conducted the election.
After there was a printing company merge error that resulted in “mismatched” ballots being sent to District 6B members in their first election, the USTA could not guarantee the validity of those ballots received, so it was declared invalid, and a new election was conducted.
District 6B includes the states of Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and West Virginia.
