Legends Day online auction and 50/50 in support of the CPHF now open

Clinton ON — Bidding is now open for the online auction in support of the Clinton Public Hospital Foundation. In conjunction with the 2024 edition of Legends Day, Clinton Raceway is hosting an online auction and new this year, a 50/50 where all proceeds go towards the CPHF.

If you’re a sports enthusiast, like to travel, are in the harness racing industry or just simply want to support, the auction has a little bit of everything. From autographed TML, Raptors and Predators merchandise, to box seats at the Jays, club seats at the London Knights and golf with harness racing legend John Campbell. The 50-plus items in the auction will remain open until Saturday (June 29) at 6 p.m. Items can then be picked up at the race office on Legends Day (Sunday, June 30) between 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

New this year, a 50/50 raffle is also available, and tickets can be purchased through the same site.

“We’re hoping that this online 50/50 will allow a wider spread audience to join in on our fundraising efforts,” states Marketing Manager Jessica Carnochan. “The Hospital Foundation is a cause that we can all get behind, and it’s nice to be able to support, even if distance or other plans don’t allow you to be here for the event.”

The draw will be made at 4 p.m. on Sunday (June 30). The goal is to raise over C$25,000 in the auction and raffle.

Through generous donations all money from Chicken BBQ sales will also be donated to the foundation. Tickets can be purchased through the auction site, or by contacting Jessica at Clinton Raceway (jessicacarnochan@gmail.com). The BBQ is set to run in the Legends Tent from 4:30-5:30 p.m. on the day of the event.
