Saratoga Springs, NY – Trainer Melissa Beckwith added four wins to her bulky total for the 2026 season when on Monday (Oct. 19) afternoon, the meet’s leading conditioner recorded a grand slam at Saratoga Casino Hotel.
Beckwith and driver Aaron Byron went back-to-back on the Monday card when young trotters RT Watch Me and Meadowbrook Ashley recorded victories. Meadowbrook Ashley drew the rail for her local debut in a race that went for a purse of $11,750.
Byron sat behind the sophomore filly who sat the pocket as the even-money favorite in her Spa debut. After rival Spill The Tea (Wally Hennessey) rushed past the leader in three quarters in 1:28, Meadowbrook Ashley slid to the outside around the final turn and powered by in the lane to secure the victory in 1:57.
The win was the second consecutive on the day for the Beckwith-Byron combo who saw their RT Watch Me repeat after coming on to win by the slimmest of margins in 1:59.1 in a $9,700 event for trotters.
Beckwith’s four-bagger was rounded out by Unhinged, who registered win number eleven for his campaign behind a wire-to-wire score with reinsman Chris Long in the sulky, and Eurobank Hanover (Leon Bailey) who prevailed for the first time since coming to the Spa last month after making breaks as the favorite in his previous local efforts.
Beckwith continues to lead in the way in the trainer standings this season, holding a healthy but not insurmountable lead over Jaymes McAssey with just less than two months remaining in the racing season.
Live racing resumes on Saturday (Oct. 24) with a first post time set for noon.
