RETURN TO REGULAR SCHEDULE
Hollywood Casino at The Meadows will return to its regular winter racing schedule this week, with action on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 12:45 p.m. A total of 13 races are planned each afternoon.
NEW STABLE GETS FIRST LOCAL WIN
Rob Laffoon is the newest face at The Meadows for the fall, as he has been racing his stable of horses the past few weeks after arriving from Kentucky. Laffoon has a total of five horses racing this Wednesday and Thursday, with the draw for Friday set for Tuesday morning. He picked up his first local training win on Wednesday last week with Swing Dancing in a conditioned pace.
TOP SEVEN
With one month remaining in 2024, seven Meadows drivers have surpassed 100 wins and $1 million in purse earnings for the season. Dave Palone still leads the way with 353 wins, followed by Ronnie Wrenn Jr. at 316. The remainder of the top-seven are Aaron Merriman (237), Hunter Myers (173), Mike Wilder (141), Brady Brown (125) and Jeremy Indof (111). The purse earnings follow the same order, with Palone and Wrenn both topping the $3 million mark, followed by Merriman at $2.4 million.
