Caen, France — French trotter Hohneck, who won the 2023 Elitlopp at Solvalla, made his seasonal debut a successful one with an easy victory Thursday (March 13) on the track in Caen in Normandy.
Hohneck had Paul-Philippe Ploquin in the sulky and won easily in 1:55.2 (mile rate).
“This is Hohneck’s last season on the track. He is already a successful stallion. His next start will be on April 16 at Enghien (Paris) and then a mile race here at Caen in early May,” said owner-trainer Philippe Allaire after the win.
