Harrington, DE – Rodney Wyatt, Kevin Peck and E&K Stable’s Vamoose ($2.40, Eddie Dennis) broke her own track record Wednesday (Oct. 7) with a 1:59 triumph in one of five $20,000 Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) divisions for 2-year-old trotters Wednesday at Harrington Raceway.

The Anders Bluestone filly is unbeaten in 4 career starts and was a one-length winner over Daringly and Franchesca for trainer/driver/co-owner Dennis.
The first DSBF split saw the same connections prevail with Amish Outlaw ($2.40, Dennis), who assumed command near the three-quarters and drew away from the field for an open length win over Let’s Roll Nerds and Italian Royalty in 2:02.2. The EL Platinum gelding recorded his 2nd career triumph for trainer/driver/co-owner Dennis, who had 3 driving wins on the program.
The next division for colts and geldings went to Michal and Linda English’s Mike Franks ($3.60, Ross Wolfenden) in 2:00.2 over Platinum Ice and Lebanon Levii. The John Wilkerson-trainee was a front-end winner. A Southwind Frank gelding, he completed a sweep of his eliminations.
One race later, filly Leap Year ($6, Jason Thompson) was a 2:00.4 winner in blowout fashion for Burke Racing and Weaver Bruscemi. The Southwind Frank filly led most of the way and picked up her first career win in a 7-length romp over She Is Unstoppable and Dassie.
The final division on the card was for colts and geldings and heavily favored Blazing Tui ($2.10, Corey Callahan) didn’t disappoint as the Yankee Royalty gelding notched his 4th straight win and remained unbeaten with a 1:59.2 win over Youcancallmeroy and Frosty Frank. The David Wiest-trained gelding was a 2-length winner and figures to be among the top contenders in next week’s final for co-owners Don and David Wiest. The trotting finals will take place October 14 as the top 8 point earners from the two elimination legs will return to compete in the $110,000 finals for each division.
In the overnight feature, the $22,500 Open Trot, Thestable Arrowhead Hanover’s Arrowhead Hanover ($5.20, Troy Beyer) was a 1:55 winner over Dyladmar and Speed Away. Trained by Dan Munson, it was his 7th win of the year.
