Saratoga Springs, NY — Ron Cushing and Kevin Sywyk’s Turn The Page N overcame post eight and an overland journey en route to a 4-1/2-length win in Tuesday’s (March 18) $15,000 Fillies and Mares Open Pace at Saratoga Casino Hotel.
Sent off the even-money favorite in just her second start of the year, the 6-year-old Vincent mare got the worst of things early and wound up getting parked the mile. Undaunted, the Heidi Cushing trainee fought gamely on the outside through early fractions of :27.4 and :56.4 before reeling in the race’s leader around the final turn and posting a 1:54 win in line to Ron Cushing.

Laurie Lee (driven by Jimmy Devaux), last week’s Open winner, was second; Side Piece (Aaron Byron) closed from last to finish third.
Live racing at Saratoga continues Wednesday (March 19); first post is 12 noon.
