Woodstock, VA — A unique female drivers competition that includes series legs at four different harness tracks is set to kick off Friday (Oct. 10) The Meadows as part of the track’s “Pink Out” promotion. The series continues Saturday (Oct. 11) at Northfield Park and concludes next week with respective third and fourth leg contests at Harrington Raceway on Tuesday (Oct. 14) and at Shenandoah Downs on Saturday (Oct. 18) during that track’s “Pink Power” event.
Participating drivers will accumulate points based on finishing positions in contest races throughout the two-week competition. The Meadows has one series division planned as their fifth race Friday while Northfield has two planned — their third and seventh on Saturday. Both Harrington and Shenandoah plan to have one series race each.
Six drivers are slated to compete at both The Meadows and Northfield this week: Lauren Harmon, Elizabeth Snyder, Christina Grubich, Cristina Johnson, Angela Coleman and Leslie Joyce.
The Series chairperson is Dee Lineweaver, Race Secretary at Harrington, who noted all participating drivers will receive a ‘tour date style” t-shirt. Trophy and blanket presentations are planned at the Series’ conclusion in Woodstock, Virginia on the 18th.
