Dayton, OH – World By Storm took the field of eight by storm and won with a gate-to-wire effort in the $17,000 conditioned trot at Wednesday night (Dec. 17) at Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway, establishing a new track record for sophomore trotting colts.
Austin Hanners sent the sophomore gelded son of Tactical Landing to the early lead and World By Storm led the field past the opening panels of :27 and :55.3.
World By Storm faced some moderate pressure from Drebin (Anthony MacDonald) at the three-quarters in 1:23.3.

World By Storm came home in :28.3 to set a new track mark in 1:52.3.
Drebin was 2-½ lengths back in second and Texsong Soprano (Kayne Kauffman) was another 2-1/5 lengths back in third.

In the $24,000 Open II trot, Abbey D (Luke Hanners) finished second, but was elevated to the top spot due to interference in the stretch by the unofficial winner Looks Like Moni (Anthony MacDonald).
Cs Flying Co-pilot (Clint Coy) won the early battle for the lead and briefly led past the opening quarter in :28.2.
Looks Like Moni was not content on being third at the rail and was hustled to the top spot before the half-mile station in :57.2 and past the three-quarters in 1:26.
Sayinwhatimthinkin (Trevor Smith) made a three-wide move before the three-quarters in 1:26 to get into position around the final turn.
Abbey D used the live cover and fanned wide in the lane, with Sayinwhatimthinkin to his inside.
Looks Like Moni appeared to drift in the lane causing Sayinwhatimthinkin to make a bobble.
Abbey D was second by a neck, but was placed first. Looks Like Moni was placed third behind Sayinwhatimthinkin. The mile was in 1:55.
Abbey D is the six -year-old Uncle Peter mare, who is trained by Deborah Swartz for Bradley Delaney.
Luke Hanners would have four winners on the-race card.
