Lebanon, OH — Prolific Fire, last year’s Ohio Sires Stakes 3-year-old pacing filly champion, made her 4-year-old debut a winning one on Tuesday (April 7) at Miami Valley Raceway.
Fresh off a winning qualifier, Prolific Fire found a comfortable spot, albeit against the boys, in an event for non-winners of two races where Ohio-sired fillies were allowed a couple extra wins. Even though she was a returning Ohio Ccampion, Prolific Fire only found the winner’s circle three times in 2025 but made the most of it with wins in the Ohio Breeders Championship at the Delaware County Fair and on the Night of Champions card a couple weeks later.
On Tuesday night, as the 4-5 favorite, Prolific Fire and driver Austin Hanners drifted off the gate to settle in third while Lil Rockstar left hard and led the field through the opening turn. Before they could get to the opening quarter in :27.2, Prolific Fire was out and moving and brushed to the front as the field passed the stands for the first time. Heading to the half, Hanners settled Prolific Fire down and cruised through the half in :56.1. The field remained single file down the backside and the action remained quiet until the field passed the three-quarters in 1:25.2. As they rounded the final turn, Lil Rockstar popped the pocket, dragging with her Swelce. The two challengers slowly closed in but never really threatened as Prolific Fire, with minimal urging, won by a length in 1:53.

Lil Rockstar held for second while Swelce finished third.
It was the sixth career win for Todd Luther trainee Prolific Fire, pushing her earnings to just over $425,000.
Trace Tetrick led all drivers with a grand slam on Tuesday’s card with Brett Miller and Sam Widger each making two trips to the winner’s circle. Brittany Baker led all trainers with a double.
Racing at Miami Valley returns on Wednesday (April 8) with a 4 p.m. post.
